Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Assist clients with raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. Act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients. Responsible for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the firm. Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital-raising process, including leading due diligence and drafting sessions and preparing them for an equity or debt offering. Work with clients, senior-level team members, and outside professional advisors on M&A and special situation transactions. Responsible for drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation performing valuation analysis. Five (5) years of experience must include: Conducting valuation analyses utilizing valuation modeling techniques including LBO, DCF, and merger consequences; Evaluating operations, business plans, and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A); Building, running, and interpreting financial and valuation models; Conducting sell-side and buy-side transactions using M&A processes, including engagement letter drafting and negotiation, client/counterparty interaction, marketing materials production, financial models’ production, company due diligence, and transaction documents review; Utilizing financial data platforms including FactSet, Bloomberg, MergerMarket, and SNL/S&P Global Market Intelligence for investment banking analyses; and Analyzing and interpreting financial statements and credit rating analysis for insurance companies and statutory entities based on public rating agency methodologies including S&P, Moody’s, Fitch, and AM Best. 40 hrs./wk.
