Baker/Pastry Cook

**Description:**

The Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation of all pastry items in accordance with hotel standards and guest expectations. This role works closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to ensure consistency, quality, and creativity in all desserts, breads, and other baked goods served at the property.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare, bake, and finish all pastry items including cakes, cookies, breads, and specialty desserts according to established recipes and standards
+ Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of pastry products
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
+ Assist in the creation of new dessert menu items and seasonal offerings
+ Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
+ Follow proper food storage, rotation, and labeling procedures
+ Operate and maintain bakery equipment in safe working condition
+ Support other culinary areas as needed to meet operational demands
**Qualifications:**
+ Previous professional pastry or baking experience required; hotel or resort experience preferred
+ Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
+ Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
+ Food Handler’s Card required (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
