Job Overview:

Linde is currently seeking Production Technician in Burns Harbor, IN. Under the direction of the Production Superintendent, the Production Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and operation of 3 air separation columns and one neon refinery that produce oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and neon.

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups and calibrations.Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and plant upsets.Measures and records various data associated with operating equipment. Utilizes standard repair procedures when necessary.Starts and stops compressors, pumps and other equipment as necessary to meet product demand.Create and execute Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Working around rotating and/or process equipment.Working with cryogenic liquid and gases.Operate plants from a computer using IFIX operating system.Assisting drivers in an automated fill zone to safely fill their trucks.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.Minimum 2 years of industrial operations experience.Safe driving record.The candidate will possess basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Job requires working outdoors year-round, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., turning large valves, and using man-lifts and forklifts within the plant site.Must be willing to work overtime as required and be on call. Some local and overnight travel maybe required.This is a 12-hour rotating shift that requires working days and nights.The candidate should have experience working with gauges, pressure switches, analyzers, manual and automatic control valves.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Process Technology.
