**Description** SAIC is hiring a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Backup Recovery Engineer** with at least 4-years of Commvault experience to join our team in Arlington, VA, supporting the DISA-JSP customer. This position is 100% onsite. Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours’ onsite work to support NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and TS environments. The Backup Recovery Engineer is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions within a highly regulated environment (Federal/DoD). This individual will play a key part in ensuring data availability, business continuity, and compliance with stringent security and policy requirements. They will work closely with system engineers and other stakeholders to translate business needs into robust and scalable backup and recovery strategies. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in enterprise backup/recovery systems (specifically CommVault Simpana and/or IBM Spectrum Protect) and a proven track record of successfully deploying and managing these systems in complex, large-scale environments with stringent regulatory compliance requirements. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) or more years of experience. + Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. **Required Clearance:** + Top Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment. + US citizenship. **Required Skills and Certifications:** + Experience in implementing solution designs and operating environments that are compliant with all Federal and DoD guidance and policies. + Experience in implementing software and hardware solutions. + Experience in Backup/Recovery provisioning and scheduling. + Experience in establishing information systems requirements using analysis of the system engineers to develop enterprise-wide information systems design in an environment similar in size and scope. + Experience in estimating and sizing implementation efforts (ie., cost, performance, capacity, manageability, scalability, etc.) for Backup/Recovery systems. + Demonstrated ability to build, deploy and maintain enterprise-level Backup/Recovery systems for enterprise-wide COOP environment, and use an application framework to provide best practice solutions for real world business needs. + Experience in enterprise backup/recovery system and applications like CommVault Simpana and IBM Spectrum Protect. + DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work – IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH). **Desired Skills and Certifications:** + Active DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification.
