Job Details:
The Backup labor rotates among the various workstations listed below and performs the duties for each station as listed. Other duties may be assigned for each station.
DUTIES:
1. Prepare formed meat batches according to specifications.
2. Transfer formed meat batches to blender for mixing.
3. Maintain clean work area.
4. Must be able to do Plant View computer checks and enter data accordingly.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Spice Weigher:
1. Set up scales and lugs for weighing.
2. Weigh-out ingredients according to specifications.
3. Maintain supply of weighed ingredients for chopper/blender operator according to production schedule.
4. Maintain clean work area.
Blender Operator
1. Transfer pre-weighed ingredients into chopper or blender.
2. Operate chopper or blender controls to ensure proper product temperature and consistency.
3. Transfer mixed product from chopper or blender to Formax machine.
4. Maintain clean work area.
5. Must operate blender as needed.
6. Able to work on Pack side as needed.
7. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Breader/Batter Operator:
1. Supply trash tanks and condemn lugs (containers) to production line.
2. Set up batter and breader machine controls.
3. Dump flour and water into mixer.
4. Monitor batter and breader machines for proper viscosity, also refrigeration pumps and meters, to make sure product is within proper specifications, and make necessary adjustments.
5. Turn-on conveyers to air-dry equipment and check for broken webs.
6. Dump bags of pre-dust and breading into machine as needed in order to keep equipment adequately supplied with dry ingredients.
7. Monitor product appearance constantly for even coating and desirable color according to specifications.
8. Clean work area.
Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift, work in a wet environment, be physically fit to do constant moving and reaching, be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, and must have good hand dexterity.
Must be able and willing to lift up to 70 lbs.
