Duties/Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and internal departments. · Negotiate rates with carriers and shippers to secure profitable loads. · Respond to customer inquiries and emails in a timely and professional manner. · Provide exceptional customer service and proactive problem resolution. · Schedule, book, and confirm customer appointments for pickup and delivery. · Coordinate and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery. · Track carrier movements and load statuses; resolve issues that arise during transit. · Assist in securing backhauls to maximize efficiency. · Manage load documentation, contracts, and ensure compliance with federal and company regulations. · Screen potential carriers to verify they meet Tucker Freight Lines’ standards and requirements. · Communicate with Billing and Payroll regarding driver paperwork discrepancies. · Collaborate with IT to maintain accurate load details and customer information in the TMS. · Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies when necessary. · Utilize technology appropriately to support risk mitigation and operational efficiency. · Perform other duties as assigned. **Requirements** · High school diploma or equivalent. · Proven experience in freight brokerage, coordination, logistics, or transportation operations. · Proficiency in computer systems and applications (TMS, Microsoft Office Suite). · Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. · Must be a self-starter with a positive, “can-do” attitude. · Ability to work independently while embracing teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
