Job Description:
We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to building robust backend services for our platform. In this role, you will work with our Senior Backend Developers, Lead Architect, and other team members to implement reliable and efficient backend functionality that powers our applications.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs according to specificationsImplement features and functionality using Python and related frameworksFollow established coding standards and architectural patternsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeCreate and maintain documentation for services and APIs you developImplement security best practices in your code following established guidelinesBuild integrations with internal and external systemsFollow established testing standards and implement tests for your codeCollaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integrationTroubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues and bugsRequired Qualifications
4+ years of experience in backend developmentProficiency in PythonUnderstanding of RESTful API principlesFamiliarity with database concepts and SQLExperience with version control systems (Git)Basic understanding of web security principlesExperience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) at a basic levelGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GraphQLFamiliarity with JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with API documentation toolsBasic understanding of containerization (Docker)Interest in AI technologies and workflowsExperience with automated testingKnowledge of CI/CD conceptsFamiliarity with microservices conceptsExperience building AI agents a plusCompensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $105,100 - $195,200.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
