Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

Refactor and migrate a PHP web application to use REST APIs for all database interactions, replacing direct Oracle connections.Update and migrate multiple Python-based job applications (non-web) to utilize REST APIs instead of direct Oracle access.Collaborate with backend, frontend and API teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.Ensure all applications are optimized for performance, security, and scalability in an AWS environment.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.Build reusable code and libraries for future use.Follow Agile methodologies and participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.Stay updated with backend best practices, new frameworks, and emerging technologies.Security Authentication and Authorization concepts.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/EC/IT or MCA or Computer Science

Experience Required (Min – Max year)

3-6 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on PHP and PythonStrong experience with web application development using PHP.Proficiency in backend/job processing scripts using Python.Experience with REST API integration and development.Familiarity with AWS services and deployment best practices.Understanding of database concepts and data migration.Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desired Skills 

Strong understanding of technical concepts related to water treatment systems and physio-chemical calculations.Experience working in Oracle database, JIRA, cloud platforms like AWS.Exposure to microservice architectures.Knowledge of Java.Prior experience in application migration projects.
