**Introduction** SAK (System Assurance Kernel) is an Architecture Assurance System and Test Suite for the IBM System z Hardware. It’s predominantly developed in IBM’s PL/X programming language and is extensively used by hardware developers and system test engineers for testing the IBM system z hardware for architecture correctness. **Your role and responsibilities** Role: The jobholder will have a role of performing SAK Development, Testing and Maintenance. Responsibilities: Ownership of work, Prompt Delivery and Maintenance of work items assigned to jobholder. This job role offers troubleshooting, investigation and problem resolution. A team player is a must! In order to ensure success, the candidate will need a willingness to continuously seek education to build their skills. **Required technical and professional expertise** 5 - 7 years of development experience System Software Development Skills, Operating System Skills, Debugging Skills, Device Driver skills, Firmware skills Outstanding communication skills are key to working within SAK team and with development teams around the world Strong team player with good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills Ability and drive to dive into hardware architectures and grow new technical skills **Preferred technical and professional experience** Preferred skills among IBMers: PL/X Programming, z/VM Environment Hardware troubleshooting skills Ability to handle debugging tasks independently IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
