Azure/Terraform DevOps Engineer
Position Description:

This position is located in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, or Dallas TX, however hybrid model is accepted.

CGI is seeking a Azure/Terraform DevOps Engineer with deep Azure knowledge and a strong foundation in infrastructure automation and cloud-native engineering. This candidate will work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in US and work in a challenging technical environment and gain exposure of advanced tools and technology suites

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, provision, and manage scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on modular, reusable configurations and secure deployment practices.
• Architect and integrate Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) into automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, cloud architects, security engineers, and project managers to align infrastructure solutions with application and business needs.
• Build and maintain end-to-end DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for application deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and automated testing.
• Work with Git, Terraform CLI, Azure DevOps Repos & Pipelines, JIRA, Confluence, and monitoring/logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Exhibit strong background in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) with experience managing work through sprints, user stories, and iterative deployments in cloud-native environments.
• Test infrastructure as code (e.g., using Terratest), implement health checks, and use performance metrics to optimize deployments and ensure system reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, optimize cloud environments for cost and performance, and ensure compliance with governance and security standards.
• Create detailed runbooks, architectural diagrams, and deployment documentation to support technical transparency and cross-team collaboration.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 6+ Years in Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering –
Proven experience designing, automating, and managing enterprise-grade Azure infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and operational efficiency using Infrastructure as Code.
• Terraform & IaC Expertise – Deep proficiency in writing and maintaining Terraform code to manage Azure resources, ensuring consistent, repeatable deployments across multiple environments.
• API Integration & Azure Service Configuration – Strong experience working with RESTful APIs and automating the provisioning of Azure services such as Azure Functions, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, and Application Gateway using Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• System Performance Optimization & Reliability Engineering – Skilled in identifying infrastructure performance bottlenecks, implementing monitoring and alerting strategies (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics), and ensuring system resilience.
• Collaboration & Communication – Effective at working with cross-functional teams including development, security, and operations, and experienced in documenting architecture, writing SOPs, and communicating infrastructure solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Agile & DevOps Practices – Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD pipeline implementation, and iterative infrastructure delivery using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins in cloud-native environments

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,700.00 - $154,300.00.
