Azure Migration Engineer
**Role: AVS /Azure Migration Engineer** **Direct hiring w/benefits** **Bellevue, WA -Hybrid.** **Job description:** **Primary Responsibilities** + **Assistwith migration execution** : + Participatein VM wave/sprint intake, validation, scheduling, and coordination. + Support **base/initial replication** , **delta/incremental replication** ,and **cutover activities** . + Helpwith **real-time migration monitoring** and issue escalation. + **Post-migrationactivities** : + Perform **smoke testing** and validate successful migrations (e.g., RDP/SSHconnections, firewall checks, service/daemon validation). + Participatein **hypercare** to address post-cutover issues. + Supportdocumentation of the **Refined Playbook** and report on **migrationstatus** . + **Discovery& Insights Phase** : + Runand analyze tools like **Azure Migrate** , **VMware HCX** , andcollect data via **RVTools** . + Assistin **dependency mapping** , assessment, and backlog generation forremediation items. + **Collaborationand Support** : + Workwith client technical stakeholders to resolve "ready withconditions" or "blocked" migration statuses. + Collaboratewith application owners, DBAs, and infrastructure SMEs during planningand testing. + Ensurealignment with **Microsoft best practices** and compliance with theclient's infrastructure and security standards. **Technical Skills LikelyRequired** + Experiencewith **Azure VMware Service (AVS)** , **Azure Migrate** , **VMwareHCX** , and **cloud infrastructure** . + Proficiencyin **migration tooling** , **automation/scripting (e.g., PowerShell)** ,and understanding of **networking** and **firewall configurations** . + Familiaritywith **Windows and Linux servers** , **Active Directory** , **DNS/IPupdates** , and **OS modernization processes** . **Education:** Bachelor-s or master-s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. **Life at Sogeti - We support all aspects ofyour well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
