Job summary:

Thales Digital Factory accelerates the digital transformation of Thales entities and their clients. The Cloud Trustnest Platform is an important vector of this transformation, providing each of the group's engineers the opportunity to build the environment that best meets their needs by combining network infrastructures, container orchestrators, and a state-of-the-art software factory.

Today, the platform is in production and is used by several thousand developers each day. As the level of maturity of our users constantly evolves, some of them regularly reach out to us to request the integration of new services.

You will join the K8aaS team, which is responsible for the security and automation of the Azure Kubernetes Service within the Manage Cloud Services tribe. Our managed clusters include several preconfigured Kubernetes extensions, advanced security in Azure, and the provision of multiple APIs.

You’ll need to have

Solid competencies and experience with Microsoft Azure cloud

Automation skills - Helm Charts, FluxCD

Infrastructure as Code skills - Terraform, Terragrunt, Azure Bicep, Azure Deployment Stack

Scripting experience (Bash, Python)

Cloud Networking experience - Azure virtual network, peering, Private end-point, Azure DNS

Observability (Alerting, Log Instrumentation, Monitoring) - Datadog, Prometheus, Fluent Bit, Log Analytics

Experience with different Operating Systems & Hypervisors

Containerisation skills (Docker)

Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Event Grid, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cloud Shell, Azure Active Directory Integration, Microsoft Defender, Azure Network security group, Azure Conditional Access, Tetragon

Experience in working inside teams using Agile methodologies

Whilst working with us on

Design and implement secure and highly available Kubernetes clusters on Azure, with several preconfigured Kubernetes extensions

Develop and maintain Helm charts and Terraform/Terragrunt scripts to automate the deployment of containerized applications on AKS

Ensure the security of Kubernetes cluster configurations through Azure Active Directory Integration, Microsoft Defender, Network Security Groups, and Azure Conditional Access

Configure and manage the necessary Azure cloud resources for containerized solutions such as Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, DNS, and Load Balancers.

Work on the observability of applications and Kubernetes clusters using tools like Datadog, Prometheus (including managed Prometheus on Azure), Fluent Bit, and Log Analytics

Collaborate with SRE teams to optimize the deployment and management of managed AKS clusters, facilitating the deployment of digital applications by our users

Actively participate in various agile ceremonies as a key member of the development team

Diagnose and resolve level 3 incidents related to services deployed on Kubernetes clusters

Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to capture knowledge and best practices.
