Capgemini is currently seeking a **AWS Database Migration Engineer** for a full-time position in Camden, NJ. This onsite hybrid role at Camden requires local candidates or those open to relocation. **Your role**
+ Strong experience with schema/data migration tools like ora2pg, AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
+ Hands-on experience with AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Lambda, and IAM etc.
+ Perform detailed analysis of Oracle-specific features (e.g., PL/SQL, packages, sequences, triggers) and convert to equivalent PostgreSQL constructs
+ Optimize PostgreSQL performance via indexing, partitioning, vacuuming, and query tuning
+ Ensure high availability, backup strategies, and security compliance in the AWS environment (e.g., using RDS for PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL)
+ Experience with database administration and operations support for managed database services (Preferred PostgreSQL)
+ Proficient with schemas design, data modeling, normalization/denormalization etc.
+ Experience with NoSQL transformation (preferably DynamoDB)
+ Knowledge of writing/refactoring SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL
+ Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
**Your skills and experience**
