As a AWS Cloud Architect and Team Lead, you’ll architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that power UCAP. You’ll work alongside DevSecOps, data, and application teams to drive automation, improve reliability, and ensure operational excellence in a highly visible and meaningful federal program.

Responsibilities:
· Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure to support large-scale mission systems.
· Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
· Implement cloud-native services including ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
· Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible.
· Drive containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and security standards into all stages of development.
· Apply AWS best practices for cost optimization, security compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53), and availability.
· Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident response within the AWS environment.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 15+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on AWS.Experience managing/leading teamsExpertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps principles. Experience with container orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks for government systems. Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust level 2.Desired Skills:

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
