ICF is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect who is passionate about designing and delivering secure, scalable, and intelligent cloud-native solutions. This role is central to a major digital modernization initiative supporting a data analytics platform migration. This position requires deep technical expertise in AWS Cloud, strong communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to DevSecOps and agile delivery. You will lead the architecture of a modular, AI-enabled platform that supports services across multiple local development areas. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineering teams, ensuring security compliance, and driving innovation through automation and analytics.
Job Location: This position is remote within the United States.

What you’ll be doing:
Architect and lead the implementation of a cloud-native platform on AWS GovCloud leveraging Databricks, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and other AWS-native services.
Translate business and user needs into scalable, modular solution architectures.
Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), automated testing, and secure deployment workflows.
Embed AI/ML capabilities using Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker to support ETL development, report migration, and predictive analytics through validated workflows.
Design and implement Zero Trust security principles including RBAC, MFA, and continuous monitoring using Okta IAM integration and Unity Catalog.
Lead real-time analytics and data integration using Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, AWS Glue, and Databricks SQL, ensuring performance, traceability, and governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, analytics, and user support to ensure successful delivery and post-launch operations.
Support co-creation, iterative design, and role-based training as part of a human-centered agile delivery model, including sprint planning and demos.
Provide architectural oversight and mentorship to development teams and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
What you must have:
US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) preferred.
Employment must be compliant with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance due to Government Contract.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and enterprise software systems.
5+ years of experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, and IAM.
What we’d like you to have:
Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and CI/CD tools.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust security models and compliance frameworks.
Experience with AI/ML integration in enterprise platforms.
U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to obtain necessary clearances.
Experience with agile software development application delivery in federal or public sector.
Familiarity with AI/ML tools such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, or Amazon Q.
Experience with Databricks on AWS, including Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and related standards.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$143,663.00 - $244,227.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
