Awareness and communication specialist (Information & Cyber Security)

Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Awareness and Communication Specialist to drive global cybersecurity culture change through targeted awareness initiatives, nano learning, phishing simulations, and crisis exercises. This role is central to building human cyber resilience across our global automotive enterprise.

You will work with cutting-edge platforms such as Hoxhunt and Immersive Labs, develop engaging content, and support our internal security academy. Your mission: to reduce human risk and strengthen the organization’s ability to identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Awareness & Nano Learning

Plan, create, and manage short, high-impact nano learning modules tailored to diverse employee groups and risk areas.

Develop engaging, scenario-based content to build security habits around phishing, password hygiene, remote work, and other key topics.

Localize and adapt content for cultural and regional relevance across global teams.

Phishing Simulation & Human Risk Management

Design and run targeted phishing simulation campaigns using Hoxhunt and other platforms.

Analyse user behaviour and metrics to continuously improve awareness and resilience.

Collaborate with departments (e.g., HR, Legal, IT) to ensure campaigns align with internal policies and regulations.

Crisis Simulation & Cyber Drills

Coordinate and facilitate cyber crisis simulations and tabletop exercises using Immersive Labs or similar platforms.

Develop custom scenarios based on threat intelligence and risk assessments.

Support post-exercise reporting, debriefs, and action plans for improvement.

Academy & Internal Content Creation

Support the Information Security Academy with relevant learning paths, microlearning assets, videos, and interactive materials.

Create content for awareness campaigns (e.g., Cybersecurity Month), newsletters, intranet, posters, and digital signage.

Maintain knowledge portals, toolkits, and internal LMS content.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Cybersecurity, Instructional Design, Behavioural Science, or related field.

3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity awareness, learning and development, or digital communications in a complex global organization.

Proven experience working with platforms such as Hoxhunt, Immersive Labs, LMS systems, and content design tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and user-focused threat vectors (phishing, social engineering, insider risk).

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of automotive industry cyber standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, TISAX, NIST CSF).

Certifications like SSAP (Security Awareness and Culture Professional), CompTIA Security+, or GCCC (GIAC Critical Controls Certification) are a plus.

Ability to analyse data and translate insights into engaging, data-driven awareness strategies.

Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deliverables simultaneously.
