OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION

The CEO office supports the CEO of MUFG Securities (EMEA) in the execution of their role, which includes:

developing and implementing a coherent strategy for the EMEA Businesses/Support functions, ensuring governance and compliance with local laws or regulations;directing the EMEA Businesses and their organizational management in order to maximize stakeholder value and profitability;achieving the financial performance of the EMEA Businesses/Support functions;leading an appropriate culture in the EMEA Businesses/Support functions; andembodying personal values aligned with MUFG’s corporate values.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

To support the strategic and operational functions of the CEO Office by providing high-level analytical, project management, and communication support. The role is designed for a high-potential individual who can contribute to executive decision-making and cross-functional initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the smooth running of the CEO office, working closely with core team members and wider stakeholders at all levels of the organizationSupport preparation for meetings, including governance forums, client meetingsSupport development of and contribute ideas to materials, including strategy presentations, committee papers and employee communications (in collaboration with corporate communications)Act as the secretariat for the EMEA Front Office Committee (EFOC), including meeting coordination, agenda planning, collation of materials, drafting of minutes and action follow upSupport collaboration with stakeholders to ensure key actions are delivered within required timeframes

WORK EXPERIENCE

Knowledge and experience within a regulated and organizationally complex environment preferred, ideally financial services, consulting, or corporate strategyExperience in project management or strategic planning is preferable

Functional / Technical Competencies:

A high performing individual with strong understanding and knowledge of MUFG or similar institution, its businesses, the opportunities and challenges confronting our firmA team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate well with individuals at all levels of the organization, including appropriate engagement with senior stakeholders within EMEA, international locations and TokyoA proactive, motivated self-starter with a positive attitude, eager to and capable of learning new concepts quickly, able to work independently and prepared to get involved in all activities required to successfully deliver the roleAn agile individual with a calm approach, with the ability to work well in a pressurized and fast paced environment, to operate with urgency, to manage large workloads and appropriately prioritize and to deliver to tight deadlinesA results driven individual with a strong sense of accountability and strong organizational skills, focused on consistent high quality of all output, and excellent attention to detail and accuracyIndividual with the ability to exercise discretion in the handling of sensitive matters

Education / Qualifications:

University Degree or equivalent level or equivalent work experience
