Responsibilities About the Role: The AVP Product Management will be responsible for defining and developing the strategic direction and/or roadmap of a portfolio or group of products, while leading a team that is charged with executing the supporting efforts. This role will develop strategic plans to build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and collaboration with internal customers and prospects. This person must be able to understand their problems, find innovative solutions and be able to communicate with all areas of the Company. In this role, you will: Manage the strategy for entire product from strategic planning to tactical activities Develop and implement go-to-market plans, working with all departments to execute Analyze potential partner relationships for the product Partner with business stakeholders, IT, brand, executives, vendors and other key business units to deliver coordinated and consistent experiences across products, lines of business, channels and campaigns Understand, communicate and commit to the Organization's vision, goals and strategies Analyze complex issues, apply financial analysis, and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions that balance long and short business goals and objectives Translate broad strategies into specific actions plans, utilizing existing resources and information to achieve strategic objectives and improve business results Foster and champion an environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, innovation, quality outcomes and self-development Align department priorities to that of the organization and realign strategic direction when appropriate Foster open communication, that welcomes information sharing, seeks input from others and values diverse viewpoints Act as primary point of contact and coordinate interaction with all company stakeholders to define and deliver marketing experiences for consumers and dealers Interface with analytics team preparing analysis to drive direction and performance optimization Perform competitive research and analysis as needed Interface with business partners to create cohesive customer experiences across channels Coach, mentor and assist team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, compliance to departmental standards, State and Federal regulations, and internal controls Perform cost analysis when assessing the need for system enhancements or change in department processes Prepare and present quarterly business reviews to key executive stakeholders Perform other duties as assigned Conform with all company policies and procedures Qualifications What makes a dream candidate? Strong knowledge of B2B and B2C with an understanding of mapping customer experiences Extensive knowledge of managing multi-channel campaigns and all integrations and touchpoints Functional knowledge of database marketing ecommerce, content and core ecommerce capabilities Advanced knowledge of Agile techniques and demonstrated evidence of a servant leadership mindset when needed Demonstrated expertise in product development process cycles Thorough understanding of the business principles involved in strategic planning Demonstrated understanding of portfolio management techniques Thorough understanding of GM Financial’s organization mission/vision and strategic direction Project management and/or Agile methodology skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management Develop product lifecycle roadmaps Ability to facilitate, coach and guide through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamwork Advanced negotiation, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities Excellent people skills, with an ability to understand and respect diverse viewpoints Ability to listen and communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required 8-10 years of relevant experience required 2-4 years experience leading people and teams required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
