About the Role:

The Energy Excess Casualty of Everest Insurance is looking for an Assistant Vice President Underwriter - Energy Excess Casualty to join our Houston location.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for the position include new and renewal business underwriting of Energy and Energy related accounts;

Maintaining and enhancing portfolio profitability through pricing discipline, risk selection, exposure analysis and portfolio management;

Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate new and renewal business;

Adhering to underwriting guidelines and protocols;

Driving top-notch service and collaboration with other products lines to provide full product support to Everest clients;

Travel is required to visit brokers, conferences, site visits, etc.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above and/or insurance certifications;

A minimum of 10 years of experience in underwriting energy excess casualty;

Strong producer following in retail and wholesale distribution channels;

Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business;

Strong relationship management skills;

Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills;

Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment;

Customer-oriented approach.
