We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management and insurance, with a proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and systems. This role requires a strategic thinker who can anticipate challenges, develop effective mitigation strategies, and drive projects to successful completion. Projects may span a broad range, e.g. implementation of IT initiatives, development of regulatory reports, or development of analytical models. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA or NYC.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage multiple projects within the Enterprise Risk Management group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization, as well as onshore and offshore team members.For projects involving IT elements, work with ERM business users and IT to develop and share requirements, define project scope, and establish timelines.Develop an understanding of project objectives and critical path, to be able to proactively identify material risks to project completion Monitor and report on project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.Support user validation and quality assurance of deliverables. This may involve developing test cases for IT project User Acceptance Testing.Maintain documentation related to project status, risks, and lessons learned for future reference.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.8+ years of project management experience, in a large corporate or insurance environment.Understanding of risk management principles and practices.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.Capacity to identify and assess potential risks, taking initiative to seek out internal resources to mitigateExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Detail oriented with ability to manage complex processesShould have good organization skills and be able to maintain good documentation and record keeping.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.The pay range for the role is $122,000 to $207,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
