Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for enhancing existing processes and developing ad hoc analysis and reporting in pursuit of strategically strengthening and supporting the AML-FCA function at Bank OZK. Partners with stakeholders to understand ambiguous challenges and to deploy robust technical solutions that deliver actionable insights, increase process efficiencies, empower business owners to make strategic decisions, and drive the AML-FCA function at the Bank. Supports the Fraud program through data mining, data visualization, model output analytics, and understanding functionality of the fraud model and program specific to Bank OZK.
Essential Job Functions
+ Develops metrics for Fraud to support the following forums/reports: Financial Crimes Risk Management Council, Executive and Board Risk Committees, Risk Metrics, Fraud Risk Assessment, Daily Operational Reporting, Capacity Reporting, Quality Score Card Reporting, and Fraud Alert Trending.
+ Provides concise analysis, data reports, and clear data visualizations, and articulates results of data analysis and recommendations in one-on-one conversations and within group settings.
+ Leads analysis of emerging fraud trends, fraud risk criteria, and high-risk population segments.
+ Develops data queries, statistical analysis, and reports to identify key data elements that can be used to monitor and identify fraud trends.
+ Enhances existing AML-FCA reporting using automation techniques, stored processes, and scripts by utilizing analytics platforms such as SAS, R Studio, Alteryx, etc.
+ Works closely with management to share findings, assists in identifying current fraud trends, root causes, and fraud risk gaps, and collaborates with senior analysts on recommendations.
+ Assists with new AML Agent reporting and data analysis.
+ Mines, cleans, and preps data from primary and secondary source systems, which may require complex joins or other data analysis techniques.
+ Analyzes and interprets results of reports to advise management on fraud trends.
+ Works with OZK’s Quantitative Modeling Team to develop Fraud Loss Forecasting and other systems that reduce and/or loss events.
+ Maintains current knowledge in BSA/AML regulations and industry best practices.
+ Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Knowledge of SQL data analysis techniques, Microsoft Power BI, and SSIS.
+ Knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, and Fraud principles to enable development of meaningful metrics to support program development and enhancement.
+ Knowledge of banking regulations with fraud components (Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg E, Red Flags for ID Theft, etc.).
+ Knowledge of BSA/AML laws (including Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, US Treasury AML guidelines, and OFAC requirements).
+ Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to risk management, controls, and governance processes.
+ Ability to map data requirements between internal and vendor systems.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to develop effective presentations for various levels and audiences within a financial services organization.
+ Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
+ Ability to work independently, without supervision.
+ Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, finance, quantitative discipline, or technology) or commensurate work experience, required.
+ 3+ years of work experience in analyzing data for patterns, trends, threats, and opportunities, and in developing recommendations based on observations, required.
+ Functional knowledge of analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, and/or IBM Cognos as well as data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Micro Strategy, etc., required.
+ Prior fraud investigations or analytics experience, preferred.
+ Certified AML Specialist, preferred.
