Avionics Modification Installer
**Job Title: Avionics Technician** **Job Description** The Avionics Modification Installer will be responsible for performing maintenance at various levels, including inspection, operational testing, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. The role demands a professional, disciplined, and team-oriented individual who is technically astute and responsive to the needs of the company, colleagues, and customers. Reporting to the Director of Production, the installer will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance and guidance to teammates. **Responsibilities** + Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance on aircraft electrical and avionics systems. + Conduct inspection, operational tests, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement tasks on assigned aircraft, components, and equipment. + Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and offer technical assistance to colleagues. + Provide guidance and instruction to teammates as needed. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of three years' previous work-related experience, preferably in military or government aviation maintenance. + Experience with high-performance military aircraft (F-5/T-38) or Military Fixed Wing experience (C-130). **Why Work Here?** This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for permanent employment after six months or up to a year. Employees will receive federal holidays paid, a $1/hr increase after six months, and another $1/hr increase at their one-year anniversary. Additional benefits include PTO, with 40 hours given after six months and another 40 hours after one year. **Work Environment** The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm. The environment requires attention to detail and adherence to schedules and standards. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
