The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts. The Bell MV-75 team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world’s next-generation military aircraft.

These positions are onsite in Fort Worth, Texas and will also work in Bell’s Classified SIL in Arlington, TX.

Avionics and Mission Systems Integration Engineering Team: HAS and FDR Systems

The Health Awareness System which consists of both the Heather Monitoring Systems (HMOS) and Heath Management Systems (HMAS). This includes Data Acquisition, Data Analysis, Real Time Monitoring, and Proactive Maintenance for improved safety.

For Flight Data Recorder (FDR) – includes data recording capacity, audio recording quality, compliance with regulations (like ED-112), and integration with other systems.

This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and subcontractors. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you’ll be doing as an Avionics and Mission Systems Engineer, HAS and FDR Systems:

Take part in the organization, planning, and management of new aircraft avionics and mission systems within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet program and customer defined requirements.Build, interface, and test multiple computer systems in a modular architecture to meet MOSA, Safety, Security, Environmental, EMI and performance requirements while working in an Agile framework.Create data interfaces for Ethernet, serial and various avionics bus protocols and support throughout the entire software development life cycle from requirements definition to product deployment.Manage Avionics and Mission Systems suppliers via specifications and statements of work.Estimate and manage schedules, budgets, and technology to customer standards.Collaboration with Bell Engineers from other disciplines to include electrical power, flight controls, propulsion, airframe structures, rotors, fuel, hydraulics and drive systems. Work directly on the aircraft to test and verify that avionics systems meet performance requirements when installed.

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Familiarity with ARP4754A for architecture and systems development.Experience developing and validating requirements.System development and testing in a Systems Integration Lab.Aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability to lead teams in development, integration, validation,and verification of systems.Experience troubleshooting and resolving system integration/verification issues.Experience designing system architectures using model-based systems engineering (MBSE)Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.

What you need to be successful:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. (Other Engineering degrees with relevant experience will be considered.)We are looking for engineers with at least 2 years or more of design experience (more years of experience is a plus) in one or more of the followingavionics disciplines:health monitoring systems, flightdata recorder systems, data links, navigation, displays, open processing environments, and vehicle management systems. Experience with test plan creation and executionFamiliarity with DO-178 and DO-254, including experience with SOI reviews is very helpful Must be able to gain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security ClearanceWe are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.
