Avionic S/S Responsible

The proposed job will be in charge of contributing to all the phases of the Avionic Sub-System lifecycle of an Earth Observation or Navigation satellite, starting from the phase A/B feasibility and study, through the phase C/D design and implementation up to the in-flight activities during phase E. TThe AVS S/S Responsible shall coordinate the AVS team which includes specialists from different disciplines:Data Handling and SW specialists;Guidance, Navigation & Control specialists;Integration, Validation, Verification & Qualification specialists.The proposed job will imply the following duties:Avionics S/S technical management, including preparation and maintenance of schedule as well as Development Plan and AIV Plan;Preparation and maintenance of the Avionic S/S Requirements specification;Management of the traceability, flowdown, verification & validation of the Avionic S/S requirements;Avionics HW units specification and technical managementPropulsion S/S configuration and sizingAOCS control system design, analysis, configuration, implementation and verificationDH & SYS FDIR design, configuration, implementation and verificationAvionics V&V activity at Simulated as well as at Hardware levelAvionics S/S budgetsAvionic special verification facilities Requirements Specification and procurement technical monitoring (e.g. STT EGSE and GNSS EGSE)This request is for a permanent position.The working site is Rome, but it might be required working in other locations for short mid-term periods.Education and experienceYou have a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.You are fluent in English (C1 and above certification) both listening and reading.You have at least 5 years of experience in similar position.Skills and knowledgekinematics of a dynamics of rigid bodies with gyroscopic stiffness and flexible appendagesAOCS sensors and actuators technologyECSS Packet Utilization Standard (PUS)Orchestra Suite (PV:: & Doors at least)CCSDS/ECSS telemetry and telecommand standards (synchronization and channel coding, data link)SW development standards: ECSS E-40/Q-80Avionic S/S Hardware (On Board Computer, Remote Terminal Unit, GNSS receiver, AOCS sensors and actuators)Command & control links including 1553, Spacewire, CAN Bus
