Aviation Maintenance Technician

**Job Description:**
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician applies comprehensive knowledge and expertise to perform maintenance, repairs and logistical coordination of moderate to expert level of complexity for fixed and rotor wing aircraft. This position works closely with other aviation maintenance staff and leadership to perform duties in accordance with Intermountain policies and procedures, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
**Essential Functions**
+ Performs maintenance of an intermediate complexity on rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft systems and components at home base and satellite locations.
+ Proficient in effective and efficient troubleshooting and repair techniques to complete rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft repairs.
+ Applies comprehensive knowledge of complex regulatory requirements pertaining to rotor and/or fixed wing aircraft maintenance.
+ Works autonomously, with little supervision in a fast-paced work environment in a timely manner
+ Schedules, coordinates, and completes scheduled maintenance and inspections in a timely manner. May be required to complete RII inspections.
+ Documents, maintains, and completes aircraft records in accordance with FAA and Intermountain requirements.
+ Tracks aircraft inspection, component due times, and completion of tasks in computer database.
+ Maintains company-owned special tools and equipment in good working order. Ensures calibration requirements are met.
+ Assists as requested in the transport of equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to medical equipment.
+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends and new developments in the aviation field.
+ Coordinates with Maintenance Control for scheduled and unscheduled events.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Demonstrated experience as an aircraft maintenance technician.
+ Current FAA Airframe certificate
+ Current Power Plant certificate
+ Demonstrated journeyman experience in aircraft maintenance troubleshooting and repair
+ Demonstrated experience interpreting technical manuals and schematics
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Factory engine and airframe training in light/ medium helicopters, turboprop fixed wing, transport category jet aircraft or light Jet.
+ Bachelor’s degree in aviation related field.
+ Inspector Authorization (IA)
+ Five to seven years working as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
+ Previous QA or Aviation Maintenance leadership experience
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Expected to support the weight of aviation parts and equipment while transporting it. Must push or pull portable equipment, including heavy items.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer parts, tools, and equipment. Bends to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ May be expected to stand or sit in a stationary position for an extended period of time. Includes working (standing) for extended period of time on a ladder or work platform.
+ Ongoing need for employees to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computers, phone, and cable set-up and use.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$37.25 - $56.68
