Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and mission-focused Aviation Maintenance Manager to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Training Program. The Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance operations for AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook rotary-wing aircraft at Fort Hood, TX. This position will oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, manage personnel and resources, coordination with Netherlands aviation leadership, ensure compliance with both Army and FAA regulations, and maintain the highest standard of operational readiness to support mission success.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist the Program Manager (PM) in the management of the Aviation Maintenance Subcontract. Recommend Corrective Action Reports to the PM/Dep PM/Site Lead on items that arise that are not in line with subcontract performance work statement.Provide aviation maintenance support to the Customer and FMS client that includes all management of personnel, materials, parts, supplies, transportation, and equipment, except as provided by the government to perform Unit Field Maintenance and approved sustainment maintenance of assigned aircraftAdhering to the scope of aviation maintenance, which includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Ensure Production Control Meetings are to be held daily when at work and conducted as per TC 3-04.7 (Army Aviation Maintenance) and Production Control is tracking forecast flight hours.Monitoring and oversight of daily maintenance operations and workflow for AH-64 and CH-47 maintenance. This includes assisting the Customer and its FMS client in balancing unit maintenance priorities to sustain mission requirements to include managing maintenance efforts and priorities by close coordination with Customer and its FMS client on maintenance issues requiring command-level attention.Attend and participate in the Aviation Maintenance Meeting or similar meetings with the Customer and its FMS Client.Notifying the Site Lead by telephone, electronically, or in writing of any delays of schedule for maintenance requests exceeding the original Estimated Completion Date (ECD) and shall give reason for the delay(s). If Site Lead is not available, notify the COR and Deputy PM.

Basic Qualifications

15 years of specialized experience of aviation maintenanceMust have and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

A graduate of the US Army Aviation Maintenance Manager CourseA graduate of the US. Army Maintenance Test Pilot CourseExperience as one of the following:Aviation Support Battalion Production Control Officer-In-Charge (PC OIC)Army Aviation Task Force PC OICBattalion Aviation Maintenance Officer (AMO)Brigade Aviation Material's Officer (BAMO)
