About the Role

Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on file transfer and automation.Manage workload distribution, provide technical guidance, and foster team development.Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.Technical Execution

 

Design, develop, and maintain secure file transfer workflows using GoAnywhere MFT.Build and manage batch processing schedules using AutoSys.Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive system and application tasks (Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.).Ensure compliance with internal security and audit requirements for file transfers and automation.Collaboration & PlanningCollaborate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, applications, security) to gather requirements and deliver integrated solutions.Drive process optimization and automation roadmap for operational efficiency.Participate in incident management and root cause analysis.Monitoring & ReportingEnsure high availability and performance of MFT and job scheduling environments.Define and maintain KPIs, documentation, and operational dashboards.Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

What You Need

Strong hands-on experience with GoAnywhere MFT (project/workflow design, SFTP/FTPS, secure encryption).Deep knowledge of AutoSys (job creation, calendar management, dependency handling).Proficiency in automation scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).Experience in leading small to mid-sized technical teams.Strong understanding of file transfer security, access controls, and compliance requirements.Familiarity with enterprise IT environments (Linux, Windows, networking basics).

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, or cloud-native automation (AWS, Azure).Exposure to monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, etc.).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
