Automotive Platform Engineer
Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain the software platform layer enabling ADAS feature development.

· Port embedded operating systems (e.g., QNX, Linux, RTOS) to automotive ECUs and support board bring-up activities.

· Integrate and configure Vector/ETAS AUTOSAR stacks for middleware, services, and basic software modules.

· Ensure seamless interaction between platform software and application layers (ADAS features and algorithms).

· Collaborate with feature development, perception, systems, and test teams to define and deliver platform capabilities.

· Debug and resolve complex platform-level issues across middleware, drivers, and OS layers.

· Support integration of platform software with hardware accelerators, communication buses (CAN, Ethernet), and sensors.

· Contribute to software architecture design, safety compliance, and system performance tuning.

· Document platform interfaces, design decisions, and configuration steps.

· Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of platform development processes.



Work Experience

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in the automotive software industry, with strong focus on embedded platforms and middleware.

· Solid understanding of embedded OS concepts, real-time systems, and experience in OS porting (QNX, Linux, RTOS).

· Proven experience integrating AUTOSAR basic software stack, preferably with Vector or ETAS tools.

· Good knowledge of ADAS feature development and understanding of feature-algorithm integration challenges.

· Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

· Strong debugging skills using tools like Lauterbach, CANalyzer, and Trace32.

· Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

· Analytical mindset, structured problem-solving approach, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434).

· Familiarity with hardware platforms such as Infineon AURIX, NXP, Renesas, or NVIDIA.

· Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Yocto, or Docker in embedded contexts.

· Experience in multi-core/multi-CPU system integration and real-time performance optimization.
