Direct and coordinate the dealership accounting in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and the Garff Standards. Accounting responsibilities include but are not limited to:Transaction processingCash managementAccount receivablesAccount payablesInventory managementTaxes and licensingHR/PayrollFixed assetsDocument security, retention and archivingClaims managementComply with the internal and external reporting requirements in accordance with guidelines, format, and the time frame requested. Review reports with Managers and provide analysis as necessarySeek out and attend regular training regarding legal handling and processing of documents, employment law, and financial reportingDevelop, implement, and audit policies and procedures that ensure proper compliance with legal and company guidelines regarding document processing, employment law, and financial reportingSafeguard the assets of the company. Establish adequate segregation of duties and accounting processes to minimize financial riskMeet monthly with General Managers, Office Managers, and office staff regarding compliance issues, handling of documentation, and financial reporting, and train on best known practicesMonitor and analyze dealership performance and work with the General Manager to discuss and make recommendations in the following areas:Profit Improvement (Gross Analysis, Variable Expense Analysis & Fixed Expense Analysis)Budgeting and ForecastingCash Flow AnalysisBalance Sheet AnalysisChange ManagementOperational StandardsHere’s what you’ll need:
7 to 10 years of experience working in a franchise dealership business office2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisor or office manager role requiredAdvanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office products including ExcelThorough understanding of accounting principlesExperience with DMS systems such as Tekion/ADP/Reynolds/Ignite a mustHigh School diploma, college degree is preferredMust be able to provide references upon requestWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer
