About the Automotive & Diesel Mechanic Position As an Auto & Diesel Mechanic with Transdev Fleet Services, you will help maintain and repair light-duty, heavy-duty and small engine vehicles to ensure readiness & safety. Other major job duties include:Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.Diagnose and perform all vehicle and equipment repair phases, including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.Responsible for providing maintenance, service and repairs to gas, diesel and electric powered manufacturers, that include: John Deere, Toro, Briggs and Stratton, Kubota, Bobcat, Gravely, Perkins engines, and Isuzu engines in a multifaceted shop environment.Provide preventative maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment that include: small farm tractors, lawnmowers, ATV's/UTV', snow removal equipment, and towed equipment.Ensure work orders are completed accurately.Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.Qualifications for Automotive & Diesel MechanicA valid driver’s license is required.At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.Possess a mechanic’s tool setASE certifications are preferred. Must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)Subject to DOT drug testing.
