The position is responsible for assigning fleet vehicles for Department of Transportation Employees requiring use of a State Vehicle to perform their job requirements, making sure use of vehicles is consistent with Department Policy.
The position is responsible for assigning and monitoring the use of state vehicles, keeping track of mileage, scheduling maintenance, documenting and tracking information on the TAMS / RCA computer software data bases.
The position is responsible for assigning, tracking, and documenting of parking passes/hang tags and visitor key card passes.
The position is responsible for washing and cleaning the fleet vehicles, checking fuel levels, oil levels and assuring a reliable and safe operating vehicle before they are assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of Minneapolis/St Paul roads and freeways.
+ Knowledge of servicing techniques sufficient to clean, replace, lubricate, or adjust automotive equipment and/or parts; and tools and equipment sufficient to carry out service work as instructed.
+ General knowledge vehicle maintenance procedures. (Checking fluid levels, tire pressure etc.)
+ Ability to keep records sufficient to record usage of fuel.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to work in a team environment.
+ Valid Class D Driver’s License
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge TAMS or other Fleet Management System.
+ Knowledge of RCA Equipment software program.
