VetsEZ is seeking a remote Automation Tester to be a part of a team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will oversee the testing lifecycle for software solutions and will lead a team of testers to ensure that all software deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and performance.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA.Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and testing scenarios.Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing across production and non-production environments.Identify, report, and track defects using clear documentation and reproducible steps.Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless testing integration and continuous delivery.Perform manual testing when needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows.Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and documentation.Stay current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and best practices. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java or Python, and working knowledge of SQL.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment.Ability to obtain a government clearance.
