Automation Technician III

As an Automation Technician III at Niagara Bottling, you will be working on the production floor with plant Automation technicians at Niagara facilities around the country. Tasks include performing advanced troubleshooting, upgrades on production lines automation systems and providing technical support to those plants that need help. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring the plant Automation technicians.

Providing Plant Support for Niagara FacilitiesProvide aid and expertise to plant maintenance and automation teamsAid in any needed repairs on production machinery, as necessaryTroubleshoot and repair complex machine electrical issuesAutomated UpgradesPerform root cause analysis for automated machine upgradesResearch and Development of innovative technologies for increased output and reducing laborTechnician TrainingShare knowledge with the plant electrical and automation techniciansSeek out training opportunities for team development and report to Technical Engineering ManagerTravel Requirements:  Approximately 75% of the yearPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:4 Years   – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment4 Years  – Experience in Position0-1 Years  – Experience managing people/projects

Preferred Qualifications:6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment6 Years – Experience working in Position             2 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Proficiency in, but not limited to:AB Automation softwareSiemens Automation softwareB&R system knowledge for troubleshootingMicrosoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.Able to work alone and with othersOften sent out for plant support alone with minimal supervisionOften working in conjunction with plant electrical maintenance staffStrong analytical and problem solving skillsSelf-Motivated with a proven record of taking the initiativeDetail-Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication SkillsAble to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environmentExercise sound judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
