Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.Recovers robot when it malfunctions.Determines root cause of electrical and mechanical robot and PLC failures, then implements corrective actions.Possesses troubleshooting and repair skills for both low and high voltage systems.Troubleshoots and repairs gears, bearings, sprockets and other mechanical drive systemsUnderstands schematics for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and can maintain those systemsPerforms preventative maintenance on production line equipmentUtilizes CMMS to record equipment deficiencies, corrective actions, and to assess equipment breakdown trendsOn-call as needed by department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed.Must possess the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders/platforms.Sets up variable frequency drivesWires 480 and lower voltage motors Forward

Qualifications:
Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical and PLC programmingStrong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.HS Diploma or Equivalency, preferred associate’s degree.5 + years automation technician experience within robot and PLC.Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley and ABB equipment is preferred.
