How do you excel in this position\n
The Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, testing, adjusting, and repairing building automation systems, support owner\/user training in commercial facilities. We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and balancing competing priorities while keeping customer satisfaction and business impact in mind.\n
What are we looking for:\n\nAssociate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology required. Bachelor's degree preferred.\nAt least two (2) years' experience with mechanical and\/or electrical engineering systems.\nDemonstrated knowledge of construction or HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, fire alarms, building automation systems and other building subsystems.\nDemonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON, BacNet, etc).\nKnowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair skills a plus.\nMust have or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus.\nBe highly motivated and an independent thinker.\nMust be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt\/be flexible in a changing environment.\nAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.\nOperating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.\nAbility to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required.\nValid driver's license.\nTravel required. Must be able to travel to job sites 100% of the time. Also included is travel to manufacturers for training and office meetings.\n\n

Within the range, wage will be determined by several factors including candidate knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\n
