Job Description
Join a dynamic team at a leading company renowned for its innovative instrumentation solutions in the HVAC and Process Automation sectors. With over 650 technical patents and a global presence, the company is seeking an Automation Technician to oversee automated equipment within its manufacturing lines. Based in Michigan City, Indiana, you will work with Epson Robots, Automation Direct/Rockwell PLCs, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with line implementation efforts.Troubleshoot automated issues within manufacturing.Understand the company's manufacturing process and automation involved.Perform troubleshooting on Bar Code vision systems.Ensure operators comprehend the automated equipment prior to usage.Collaborate with maintenance, operators, and Automation Engineers.Enhance the manufacturing/product process.Essential SkillsTechnical associate's degree related to engineering (EET, MET, Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, etc.).3+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.Proficiency in automation, troubleshooting, electrical systems, HMI, robotics, controls engineering, PLC troubleshooting, and PLC programming.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Automation Direct PLCs.Direct experience with Epson Robots.Work Environment
The position is based in Michigan City, IN, operating on a 2-2-3 schedule which includes some weekends. You will alternate between working 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, with overtime opportunities available. The role involves working on the 2nd shift from 7pm to 7am. Employees are eligible for 80 hours of PTO and 6 paid holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
