Automation Technician
**Job Description Summary** The Automation Technician will perform routine diagnostic checks, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs. The Automation technician has the authority and total responsibility of ensure that all preventive maintenance has been done as per procedure, ensure that the production equipment always runs, reduce down time, time on production lines, ensure correct installation of all production equipment. **Job Description** **Key Responsabilities:** + Support problem solutions for manufacturing and quality departments. Direct support to the manufacturing and quality operations. Technology implementation to avoid, as much as possible, operator dependent process activities. The technician will troubleshoot the issue and determine if the problem is mechanical, electrical or from the computer systems controlling the process. Once the issue has been diagnosed, the technician must repair or replace any necessary component, such as a sensor or electrical wiring. + Support in the process validations, test equipment, test methods, fixtures, etc. + Implement quick model changes (SMED). + Support the process optimization as well as cost reduction, machine parameters & failures. + Support engineering to solve manufacturing and quality problems, give direct support to the quality + operations. + Implement corrective actions, responsible for the quality process optimization. + Implement Poke Yokes. **Qualifications:** + TSU or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechatronic, electronic, electrical, or equivalent. + 1 Year of experience. + Ability to resolve manufacturing problems + Effectiveness in introducing new methods, tooling, fixtures, and equipment into the production floor. + Electrical installations knowledge. + AutoCAD + PLC programming + Interpret blueprints + Fixtures design + Good communication skills.
