Job Description:
The Automation Requirements Integration Lead provides expertise in defining, validating, and integrating requirements for FAA automation systems within the National Airspace System (NAS). This role works closely with FAA stakeholders, engineers, and program teams to ensure requirements are accurate, traceable, and aligned with mission objectives. The position provides leadership for small teams and directly supports the development, modernization, and deployment of automation capabilities such as ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, and TFMS.
Responsibilities:
Lead requirements integration for FAA automation systems, ensuring consistency and compliance with FAA standards and program objectives.Conduct requirements gathering, validation, and refinement activities across multiple automation programs.Ensure requirements traceability through the full system lifecycle, supporting design, development, testing, and deployment.Provide technical direction and mentorship for small teams of requirements analysts.Coordinate with FAA customers, technical teams, and leadership to resolve requirements issues, gaps, and conflicts.Apply FAA requirements processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and qualityMinimum Qualifications:
10+ years of related experience, with BS (or equivalent experience).· Experience providing requirements gathering, validation, refinement, and related support for large, complex organizations.Experience leading 5+ people and/or supporting large (1000+ people) organizations’ requirements processes.Experience supporting the FAA and knowledge of FAA requirements processes and procedures.Experience with FAA automation systems (ERAMS, STARS, ATOP, MEARTS, TFMS).Ideal Qualifications:
· Experience leading requirements integration across multiple FAA automation programs.· Familiarity with FAA lifecycle processes, verification/validation methods, and automation modernization initiatives.Security Clearance Requirement:
