We’re hiring an experienced Automation / Quality Engineer to join a client based in Markham, Ontario. This is a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience in building automation frameworks from the ground up and a passion for quality engineering in both UI and API layers. Candidate must be willing to go onsite in Markham, ON for 4 days a week. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium and Java + Design and execute API tests using REST protocols + Perform UI testing across web and desktop applications + Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage + Utilize WinAppDriver or similar tools for desktop automation + Document test strategies, scripts, and results Required Skills + Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch with Selenium and Java + Strong hands-on experience with REST API testing + Solid understanding of UI testing methodologies + Familiarity with WinAppDriver or equivalent desktop automation tools + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills This is a great opportunity to work on impactful projects in a growing industry.
