The successful candidate will be responsible for creation and execution of the timeline for development of software for automating the factory in Asheville North Carolina. This includes demonstrating leadership by working closely with Automation Manufacturing Engineers, and various other disciplines to assure schedule creation and meeting milestones for software development. Candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership interpersonal, team and communication skills. The ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements, and to oversee automation software development through project timelines, timeline risk assessment, resources, budgets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet business objectives. **What You Will Do:** + Lead and manage automation project timelines that include design, development, programming, testing, and commissioning of control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS) into Manufacturing. + Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including key deployment teams, process engineers, material handling, quality, and operations to define project requirements and specifications. + Coordinate the development and review system architecture, hardware design, and software programming standards. + Support to create and maintain project documentation including functional design specifications, IO lists, wiring diagrams, FAT/SAT protocols, and user manuals. + Support need to create and maintain project documentation including functional design specifications, IO lists, wiring diagrams, machine layout. + Ensure software meets technical specifications, quality standards, and user expectations. + Coordinate testing and QA efforts, ensuring thorough testing and debugging before release. + Track project progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget constraints. + Report project status, risks/mitigations and achievements to senior management and stakeholders regularly. + Use project management tools to maintain project documentation and ensure that the team adheres to deadlines. + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks. + Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. **Qualifications you must have:** + A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. + Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful projects. + Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment. + Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and experience optimizing through automation. + Knowledge of specific programming languages or software development platforms. + Ability to travel 10% **Qualifications we prefer:** + Proven leadership abilities. + Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and experience optimizing through automation + Experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems. + Expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking. + Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital transformation in manufacturing. **Learn More & Apply Now!** In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This role is: **• Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
