You will achieve 100% compliance to Local legal regulations, Quality, Health Safety & Environment management systems and standards. You are responsible for the management and maintenance of site facilities, buildings and equipment(s) (hardware & software).

Works cross functionally to develop and implement a strategic Facilities road-map and annual operating plan which is a competitive advantage to Mondelēz. Partner with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to define and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals. Establish a strong governance to review & control Operational performance and continuous Improvement plan to deliver against best in class both internally and externally.Lead and be accountable that Building Maintenance program, Facilities maintenance program capabilities, including maintenance repairs & overall operations are in place. Accountable to insure adherence to business continuity plan, manufacturing standards government regulations are understood by all employees/services providers at the site, regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.Provide leadership, coaching to Facilities team towards implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.Role model Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and builds skills capability across the Plant technical/engineering team to engage with latest modern practices. Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standardsAn Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment, PM (Progressive Maintenance) expertise, Spare parts management, SAP PM module end user knowledge, Technology & Engineering automation basics.Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. The Automation Lead is crucial in achieving this goal by supporting our Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, and Engineering teams. You will provide problem analysis, solutions, and implementations for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, as well as plant projects, overhauls, automation upgrades, and corporate initiatives. This includes coordinating digital transformation initiatives and process visualization systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of security against cybersecurity threats for Layer 0 to Layer 2 based Automation systems, supporting NIST-driven deployments, and contributing to the IOT and Industry 4.0 implementation strategy on a plant level in alignment with corporate teams and support.
As the functional lead for automation, you will provide strong leadership, support, planning, direction, and supervision to assigned electrical team members, overseeing contractors as needed, and partnering with internal business partners (utilities and facilities). You will also coordinate and plan electrical & Automation activities, training, and troubleshooting, including PLC and network-related issues. You will utilize and improve current technology to drive continuous improvement in maintenance and operational effectiveness through digital tools. Your responsibilities include planning preventive/predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment overhauls and upgrades for plant electrical systems.
How you will contribute
You will:
Lead the automation and electrical plant maintenance and initiatives in collaboration with cross functional areas in the plant and from corporate departments.
Coordinate with the site HSE Manager on electrical corporate and legal compliance.
Maintain and standardize PLC ladder logic, HMI graphics, documentation, and electrical schematics.
Plan, review and execute Virtual Machines servers application patching and hardware/software upgrades.
Troubleshoot electrical systems using tools like multimeter, and HART tester.
Technical and practical knowledge with different sensors electrical usage.
Work with Allen-Bradley drives Power Flex series and Kinetic servos.
Troubleshoot and implement Cat-3 Safety Circuits and ISO standards.
Manage and administer FactoryTalk View-SE and FactoryTalk View ME, FactoryTalk Historian
Manage and administer ThinManager for application.
Understand server virtualization (VMWare) resources usage.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices Stratix 5700 configuration; IP addressing protocols; Fiber Optic and RJ-45 networking.
Work with third-party applications (Prosoft, IFM-efector, Cognix, Phoenix).
Program and report using Microsoft Access Database and Transaction Manager.
Collaborate with corporate engineering on managing infrastructure upgrades such as Motor Control Centers, Substation, and Power/Lighting Load Center replacements.
Interact effectively with vendors, operators, team leads, and maintenance trades
Supervise multidisciplinary teams in an unionized plant and a demanding environment.
Availability to work in off shifts under plant major breakdowns and planned maintenance (if needed).
Knowledge to drive the cultural change within the Plant operating team to embrace Mondelez cyber security policy/standards applied to control equipment and monitors compliance.
Responsible to track and maintain plant digital asset inventory information over the lifecycle.
Work with engineering department in all the lifecycle of a capital project to ensure a successful implementation and transfer knowledge
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as and controls engineer or similar role in raw material handling and food processing and packaging operations.
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley VFDs and HMIs (PanelView Plus series), Toshiba VFDs, and industrial communication networks
Understanding of Rockwell Asset Center software for PLC HMIs program backup and scheduling.
Work with Allen Bradley PLCs (Control Logix L7X, L8X, Compact logix series) using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
Understanding of Factory Talk View Architecture and server/client systems.
Experience with industrial power & control circuits and instrumentation.
Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechatronic / Electronic)
Maintenance background strongly preferred.
Electrical license preferred.
This position is on-site at the Naperville Plant: 1555 Ogden Ave, Naperville, IL 60540.
The base salary range for this position is $95,100 - $130,800 the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
