These innovative systems will transform the manufacturing process for our power brand hip stems. People who seek out cutting-edge technology and information to expand and enhance their ability to develop new ideas into reality. _Tasks and responsibilities may include:_ **_Technical Competencies:_** + Under supervision, the intern will assist in the following areas to support the design, development, and verification of new automated processes. + Concept Design & Evaluation: Contribute to designing systems and evaluating their performance through systematic testing. + Executing POP’s (Proof of Principles): Collaborate with vendors and perform hands-on testing to verify performance. + Generation of Validation documentation + Assist in Detailed Design Reviews **_Additional Responsibilities:_** + Support problem-solving and root cause analysis to identify and evaluate potential solutions against defined requirements. + Conduct research and studies to support innovative system design. + Process Optimisation **_General Responsibilities:_** + With supervision, work with vendors, Quality, Operations, EHS, Maintenance and Project Management to ensure project success. + Creation and Participation in Risk Assessments, PFMEA, Control Plan’s, SOP’s associated with introduction of new automated processes + Learn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required. + Work on problems in limited scope; purposefully learn while gaining experience. + Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work. + Build stable relationships with key stakeholders + Contribute to the project as a team member. **What you will need:** + Studying / completed a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. **_Fundamental Knowledge:_** + Understanding / Experience with Automated systems, robotics, vision systems, PLC etc. an advantage + Experience in executing complex problem solving techniques related to manufacturing/design technical issues. Good instincts and sound judgement for mechanical and structural design. + Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), related statistical tools and validation/verification techniques. + Analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks. + Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design. + Be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing. + Demonstrable excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks + Excellent cross-function communication skills. + Willingness to learn new technologies. **What we can offer:** + Attractive **salary** & **vacation** entitlement + Experience **our inclusive, people-first culture** .
