Your role and responsibilities

Join our team at B&R – a member of the ABB Group. We are looking for an automation engineer to complement and strengthen our skilled team in Tampere. In this role your focus is working on creating automated solutions for our clients and industries. As an Automation Engineer at B&R, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation systems. Examples of technologies B&R use in customer projects are Vision systems, Motion/servo technology, IIoT, Edge deployment, Cloud computing and Modeling & simulation.If you are ready for an exciting and challenging career as an automation engineer and programmer, this could be the perfect opportunity for youThe work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Designing and developing automation solutions using B&R's advanced technology• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions• Working closely with the customer, collaborating with the team to create the next generation of industrial machines• Implementing and testing automation systems to ensure functionality and reliability• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to automation systems• Providing technical support and trainings• Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation technology

Qualifications for the role

Previous work experience in control systems and automation engineeringBSc. or MSc level degree from a technical field, or equal work experienceKnowledge in PLC programming, HMI design and motion controlStrong technical interest in automation, programming, digitalization, and innovation.Curious by nature and enjoy being out at customer sites.The role will require traveling mainly in Finland, a driver´s license is therefore a requirement.Good verbal and written Finnish and English skills are required, knowledge in Swedish is an advantage.
