Automation Engineer
Overview

The Automation Engineer for Crocs Inc. is responsible for leading and supporting automation initiatives within the Las Vegas Distribution Center (DC), collaborating with the Sr. Automation Manager. This role plays a critical part in deploying Phase 1 automation and developing Phase 2 enhancements, including AMRs and automated receiving. The engineer will also contribute to global automation efforts as needed.

 

The ideal candidate for this role is an automation engineer who is familiar with distribution center processes, automation and automation execution/deployment. This role is an individual contributor based out of our Las Vegas, Nevada Distribution Center.

What You'll Do Drive Automation Execution: Lead installation, testing, and deployment of automation systems in Las Vegas DC, including FAT, UAT, and Go Live readiness. Innovate for Phase 2: Collaborate with Sr. Automation Manager to design and implement Phase 2 automation strategies, including AMRs and receiving automation. Achieve Operational Excellence: Develop and execute ramp plans for transitioning retail, wholesale, and eCom volumes into automation. Connect Cross-Functionally: Partner with Operations to define staffing plans and ensure seamless integration of automation into daily workflows. Think Strategically: Analyze data health and performance metrics to inform business cases and continuous improvement opportunities. Communicate Effectively: Provide clear updates to stakeholders and build strong relationships across all levels of the DC team. What You'll Bring to the Table Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in automation engineering within a distribution or manufacturing environment, preferred. Proficiency in SQL, Advanced Excel, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Revit. Strong understanding of relational databases and ability to build models and datasets Strong decision-making skills for evaluating automation solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills

 

This role is based out of our Las Vegas Distrbuiton Center but may require occasional travel to Crocs Inc. Distribution Centers as needed.
