Propose and gain approval for lab improvements and upgrades relating to safety, efficiency, capability, and flexibility Develop, maintain, and progress a plan/strategy for test facility automation transformation Develop, maintain, and improve enterprise level test software tools such as ALF, ALFA, LAVA, and FLAP Standardize department programing architecture with best practices and training Department level oversight and consultation of automation programs/projects Deep understanding of lab control systems and responsibility for documenting existing system operation/control logic and keep updated throughout its evolution Modify and create LabView programs for test automation with an expert understanding of National Instruments data acquisition Introduce and standardize the department on NI Test Stand Manage site software licensing for National Instruments and DeltaVWho You Are

For This Role You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field 2+ years’ related experience with data acquisition/analysis/automation software such as LabVIEW and DeltaV Ability to apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics and physical sciences to real-world applications supporting the development of automated processes for a range of applications from autonomous mechanical operations to data post processing and reporting. Proven mechanical proficiency with hands-on mechanical experience Detailed understanding of control theory, measurement theory, and material fabrication techniques Detailed knowledge of industrial instrumentation systems that interface with a DCS (distributed control system), such as ModBus, Foundation FieldBus, HART, DeviceNet, ProfiBUs, wireless, or any other interface method required by a field device Ability to manage numerous projects of varying lengths and complexity Demonstrated technical communication skills, both written and verbal Skilled in understanding and troubleshooting industrial equipment such as compressors, pumps, valves, and motors.#LI-LS4
