The GCOA are responsible for identifying and developing transformative innovation solutions and delivering and measuring business impact primarily in the form of productivity and efficiency to GBS Finance, Finance and other areas of Lilly.

The Automation team are responsible for assessing, designing and developing automation solutions within Lilly’s business service towers, and consulting with teams on the most effective approach to leveraging technology to automate and enhance their processes and procedures. Solutions can range from RPA to cognitive intelligence or data analytics.

As an Automation Developer you are tasked with taking requirements documents and translating these to operational solutions that have been deployed to the business and have a successful warranty period (also known as hypercare).

You will work closely with other members of the development team, the development lead and technical lead and the Project Management Office and the Analyst team.

The role will be highly visible regionally and globally and will require the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and from a mixture of technical and non-technical backgrounds. A background in technical development or testing is useful but not essential for the role.

The individual will be a proactive and driven self-starter, with the appetite and passion to help drive change across Lilly delivering change to their processes. They will play a key role in ensuring that automation becomes a core competency at Lilly.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions using: Automation Anywhere including Agentic AIPythonEmergent Enterprise technologies as applicableCollaborate with business analysts, process owners, and stakeholders to understand the requirements and specifications for Automation projectsCreate and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and diagrams for Automation solutionsProvide support and troubleshooting for existing Automation solutions and ensure quality and performance standards are metResearch and evaluate new Automation technologies and best practices and provide recommendations for improvementTrain and mentor other Automation developers and users on Automation tools and techniquesRemain compliant with all Lilly processes for safe software delivery

 

Role Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Business, Management Information Systems or Computer Science5+ years experience in either a coding, finance, supply chain, technology consulting or a business analyst type roleA strong grasp of technologies such as Automation Anywhere and Python as well as the Office 365 technology stack e.g Power App, Power Automate and Power BI etc. is useful though not essentialSome experience in Agentic AI is desirableThe ability to diagnose problems and identify the steps to resolutionStrong verbal and written communication and presentation skillsThe ability to operate in a dynamic environment; managing multiple deliverables, prioritizing and ensure timely completion of projects
