Contract Details
+ Contract Length: 12 months
+ Hours per week: ~40 hours
Key Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and optimize Hamilton automation methods (Venus 4 or 6; preference for Venus 6).
+ Translate bench-based assays into scalable, automated workflows.
+ Execute thorough method testing with attention to liquid handling parameters (e.g., pipetting accuracy, mixing efficiency, plate formats).
+ Troubleshoot automation protocols to resolve hardware/software and fluid handling issues.
+ Support assay validation on automation platforms and contribute to quality control efforts.
+ Generate clear, well-documented protocols, reports, and records consistent with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams while maintaining the ability to work independently.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
+ Hands-on experience with Hamilton automation systems (Venus software; strong preference for Venus 6).
+ Demonstrated experience in translating manual assays to automated methods.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and methodical approach to problem-solving in automated workflows.
+ Familiarity with general laboratory operations, sample handling, and liquid class optimization.
+ Understanding of documentation practices and report generation.
+ Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

+ Pay rate: $57.69 - $69.71 per hour (~$120,000-$145,000 annual), depending on experience and skill level
