Automation and Technology Operations Consultant
**_What Operations Technology contributes to Cardinal Health_** Cardinal at-Home Operations is responsible for the people & processes enabling the material handling and product distribution which underlies the services we provide. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, and inventory management - as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Cardinal at-Home Operations Technology Team are responsible for the identification and application of appropriate enhancements to emerging operational technology, and their associated processes, to drive efficiency, productivity and optimal network design. This should include interfacing with transportation and customer-facing strategies to ensure continuous supply chain solutions. **_Responsibilities_** + Act as the primary liaison between operations, IT, and external vendors to resolve issues and drive technology enhancements. + Provide day-to-day support for automation systems across Cardinal Health at Home distribution centers, including troubleshooting, defect tracking, and performance optimization. + Support deployment, configuration, and testing of automation technologies at new and existing facilities, ensuring alignment with operational standards. + Collaborate with mechanical teams to understand root causes of system issues and contribute to long-term solutions. + Lead and participate in project meetings, contributing to planning, documentation review, and implementation strategies. + Develop and maintain training materials and process documentation to support knowledge transfer and reduce IT dependency. + Proactively identify opportunities for system and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. + Travel up to 50% to support technology deployments, site visits, and vendor coordination across multiple Cardinal Health locations. **_Qualifications_** + 4–8 years of experience in operations, automation technology, or related fields, preferred. + Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. + Experience with AutoStore systems is desirable. + Familiarity with SLAM Line systems is a plus. + Lean Six Sigma or process improvement background, preferred. + Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across all levels of the organization, from warehouse associates to senior leadership. + Proven ability to manage internal and external communications and drive cross-functional collaboration, preferred. + Experience supporting ASRS or similar automated fulfillment systems, preferred. **_What is expected of you and others at this level_** + Applies comprehensive knowledge and technical expertise to solve complex problems and contribute to large-scale projects. + Develops innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals and operational needs. + Works independently with minimal guidance, while mentoring less experienced colleagues as needed. + May contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices. + Demonstrates ownership of initiatives and drives continuous improvement across systems and processes. **Anticipated salary range:** $80,900 - $115,500 **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. + Medical, dental and vision coverage + Paid time off plan + Health savings account (HSA) + 401k savings plan + Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay + Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) + Short- and long-term disability coverage + Work-Life resources + Paid parental leave + Healthy lifestyle programs Application window anticipated to close: 10/31/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible. _The salary range listed is an estimate.
