Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Detailer to join our team specializing in structural steel joist and deck building systems. This role involves converting customer drawings into simple, detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D, and creating manufacturing plans. The position is located in our Fort Wayne, IN office, supporting production across six manufacturing plants in the US and Mexico.
ResponsibilitiesConvert customer drawings into detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings.Create manufacturing plans for product delivery.Coordinate internally and with customers to solve problems and ensure project delivery.Manage 5-6 projects simultaneously, each at different stages of completion.Utilize and learn a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-in for project tasks.Essential SkillsExperience with AutoCAD drafting in construction or building design.Understanding of structural loads and connections.Ability to review decking design drawings and connections.Familiarity with design approval processes and client/fabrication plant interactions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with joists and/or decking design is beneficial.Leadership or training experience is advantageous.Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.Flexible mindset and collaborative approach.Goal-oriented and deadline-driven.Ability to give and receive feedback effectively.Adaptability to company culture.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
