What You’ll Do:

Grow our book profitably by leveraging customer relationships, your technical skills and great judgment to quote and place new business. Create and maintain excellent relationships with our broker partners, providing best in class customer service.Underwriting and retaining our renewal base, prioritizing workflow to our service standards, and being responsible for the more complex endorsement activities in accordance with your authority levels.Reviewing inspections, and coaching/training more junior staff when those opportunities arise.  Provide your feedback to improve and simplify processes, resulting in effective and efficient results, while maintaining our core values and capabilitiesWe encourage collaboration, in conjunction with various departments within our group, such as claims and business development, enabling a comprehensive approach to underwriting risk and control.

What You’ll Bring:

At least 3 years of experience in commercial underwritingPost-secondary education or equivalent experience.CIP or working towards would be considered an assetStrong communication skills, excellent telephony skills, written skillsTechnical skill and sound judgment requiredSolutions oriented approach, and desire win with our customersAttention to detail is essential, along with the great organization and prioritization skillsAbility to work autonomously and within the team dynamic
